This is a pupa of an Oleander Hawkmoth (Daphnis nerii). Here's the adult. Here's the larva (from World Wide Butterflies - http://www.wwb.co.uk/). Very, very cool moth! The pupa is not wrapped in silk like the Cecropia's. This chrysalis case is just left laying in the leaf litter. When the adult emerges, it climbs up some nearby vegetation so its wings can develop properly.
