This Termite nest (picture on left) was built into the crashed fusilage of a small airplane on Andros Island, Bahamas. The plane was likely the result of a failed drug smuggling attempt. The Nasuti or soldier termites (picture on right) are the first to arrive at the site of a disturbance to the nest (in this case, our fingers). They squirt a liquid out of their pointy snouts (inset) that gets all sticky in the air. They use it to wrap up their enemies. cool!
