- Strategies for observing bugs through the Ohio summer
- In which part of their life cycles do Ohio bugs spend their summers?
- How do Ohio bugs take advantage of the enormous amount of energy resources available during the summer?
The living isn't always easy for bugs in the Summertime, but it's a great time for us to see them! Eat but don't get eaten is the rule, and in this program we will look at way bugs get the job done. We will suggest ways students can continue to observe and learn about Ohio wildlife throughout the summer while emphasizing respectful interactions and all our our standards aligned content.

Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.
Youth is like spring, an over praised season more remarkable for biting winds than genial breezes. Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits.
Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time.
The color of springtime is in the flowers, the color of winter is in the imagination.
